Job Summary
Senior Backend Engineer
Location: Plano TX (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6 months with potential to convert at 3 months
Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a contracttohire basis. This role requires deep technical expertise strong problemsolving skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced consumerfacing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and optimize backend services for highvolume platforms.

Build and maintain scalable systems using and PostgreSQL (or equivalent relational databases).

Write debug and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets.

Leverage AI tools in daytoday engineering workflows to improve productivity and innovation.

Architect distributed systems with a focus on scalability performance and reliability.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines monitoring and infrastructure as code.

Work with cloud environments (Google Cloud or AWS) to deploy and manage backend services.

Partner with crossfunctional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications:

8 years of backend software engineering experience.

Strong expertise in and PostgreSQL.

Advanced SQL skills with proven ability to handle complex queries.

Demonstrated fluency with AI tools in engineering workflows.

Experience building and scaling consumerfacing platforms.

Solid understanding of backend architecture distributed systems and scalability principles.

Handson experience with DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud or AWS).
