Job Summary

We are seeking a Seat Complete Engineer to lead the design development and delivery of automotive seating systems from concept through production. This role ensures seat systems meet all safety performance quality and regulatory requirements while supporting cost weight and efficiency targets.

Key Responsibilities

Design and integrate complete seat systems including structures mechanisms foam trim and related components.
Manage product lifecycle activities including BOM creation engineering changes and design releases.
Ensure proper integration of seat systems within the vehicle architecture.
Develop and support DVPRs prototype builds and production launches.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design and manufacturing issues.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams (design manufacturing quality program management).
Ensure compliance with FMVSS ECE and other applicable safety regulations.
Drive cost reduction weight optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate program status risks and technical updates to leadership.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited).

5 years of automotive engineering experience preferably in seating or interior systems.

Strong knowledge of seat integration vehicle packaging and component design.

Experience with FMVSS ECE DFMEA and structured problem-solving methods.

Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter (or similar CAD/PLM tools).

Required Skills:

Develop and/or integrate seat structures seat components foam trim and full seat systems. Handle product release lifecycle: create and maintain BOMs manage design revisions using change management systems.

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics Engineering Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
