Statement of Work Details

Develops and assists staff implement policies and procedures related to the organizations scientific programs.

  • Design and support analysis of questionnaires surveys protocols informed consent documents training manuals standard operating procedures (SOPs) and database management systems.
  • Perform study design management decision making workgroup material reviews and presentations.

Collects analyzes and creates scientific program information.

  • Review and summarize materials and data; gather and coordinate information for review; conduct data entry and file maintenance; edit and/or prepare text data and charts.

Coordinates workshops and reports their outcomes.

  • Prepare briefing materials and summaries of meetings workshops and conferences.
  • Attend committees and report relevant programmatic and scientific information to Institute leadership.

Evaluates current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made.

  • Review short- and long-range planning proposals to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and mission.
  • Evaluate program activities to identify issues and develop recommendations for improvement.

Assists with analyzing current scientific programs and developing and proposing new initiatives.

  • Work with staff on planning and implementing project-based activities; e.g. workshop planning resource evaluation communication strategy assist with report writing/editing etc.

Collaborates with management and prepares reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and activities.

  • Meet with leadership on a regular basis to provide oral reports and discuss the status of on-going projects and to receive new assignments.
  • Contribute to the writing and development of executive summaries and reports to share with key partners.
  • Provide advice and consultation to the staff about policy programs communications and strategic alliance issues.

Coordinates staff responsible for developing installing and maintaining scientific programs.

  • Implement issues and strategies to enhance successful completion of current projects; prepare conceptual plans and other written products.

Analyzes current policies and procedures and suggests and develops improvements.

  • Conduct sophisticated complex policy analyses of various issues impacting the Institute 2
  • Analyze program activities to identify issues and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct reviews of relevant workgroup materials; coordinate feedback across team and collaborators within the project; guide revisions
  • Advise senior project staff on study decisions; troubleshoot issues; analyze study goals timeline planning and progress 1

Assists in preparing and developing future strategic plans.

  • Develop communications and outreach strategies for programs in relevant scientific areas; and draft strategic plans standard operating procedures and guidelines for implementation of programmatic and administrative activities
  • Perform research in support of strategic planning for the programs research programs and coordinate and design activities related to the development approvals and launching of new research funding concepts
  • Screen and evaluate fit of the science topic of proposed projects for their interest and appropriateness with the mission of the Institute- Facilitates CC wide planning with CC senior staff and departmental leaders to integrate CC functions into CC strategic plan .
  • Formulate and execute action plans in response to HHS NIH and the CC boards.

Prepares and provides educational materials to staff.

  • Develop and make readily available training materials to increase awareness about the program.

Works closely with management to develop new initiatives that further scientific research.

  • Discuss directions and developing areas with leading authorities

Uses scientific expertise to review grant proposals and Interacts with potential grantees to obtain additional information.

  • Perform scientific and administrative reviews and analyses of applications/proposals from a programmatic viewpoint.

  • Provide significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and policies of a major research hospital; and develop new policies approaches methods policies and procedures for administering programs or services for a major research hospital

  • Participate in developing the CCs strategic planning efforts. 4
  • Facilitate CC-wide planning processes to ensure goals of the CC Governing Board and CCHRB are addressed. 5
  • Facilitate planning with CC Senior Staff and CC departmental leaders to integrate CC functions and processes into the CC strategic plan.
  • Review and make recommendations on programs plans and policies to ensure proper implementation of CC goals and objectives
  • Evaluate impact of new policies and procedures to determine effectiveness
  • Offer support for the development of priorities performance metrics resource allocations workforce management and/or performance for organizational objectives
  • Identify and recommend need for special projects and studies that impact the CC and/or work of the CC with other ICs or federal agencies
  • Develop plans including resources methodologies and timelines; compiles assembles and classifies statistics from source materials; computes statistical data; conducts interviews; verifies authenticity of source material and reconciles any conflicting data
  • Formulate and execute action plans in response to HHS NIH the CC Governing Board and the CCRHB management issues or any areas requiring action or response
  • Review all pertinent HHS NIH and CC policies and directives as well as proposed or new policies and procedures to determine impact on CC; prepares necessary and appropriate CC guidance to implement them
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on operations and policies of the CC based on meetings with CC staff and other NIH Federal and accrediting and professional organizations.
  • Prepare reports briefings project papers correspondence and presentations for leadership
  • Perform special assignments including drafting guidance writing memoranda and letters for signature and prepare responses from leadership on requests for information from the NIHHHS and other CC constituents
  • Clarify and explain policy plans and administrative matters or discuss implications of pending issues to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative managers to ensure effective and efficient staff support and services are provided to the CC departments and offices and CC-wide process improvements are developed and implemented
