Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator II plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements to best utilize the companys productive capacity as well as managing strategic inventory levels. The Scheduling Coordinator II participates in negotiations with manufacturing to implement proactive production philosophies (Campaigns Rhythm Wheels Finite Scheduling and Capacity Utilization) strategies policies and procedures for successful integration into multiple business plans across various departments. Additionally this position may be responsible for preparing data and analyzing inventory trends capacity requirements external and internal key performance metrics and proposing process improvement and the generation or management of key reports metrics and projects. This is a service position and is responsive to the needs of internal and external (suppliers) customers.
Responsibilities
- Planning sequence of shipping firing fabrication assembly molding and other manufacturing operations relating to specific products to be used for guidance of production workers; Reviewing customer orders promise dates and planning schedules to maximize plant efficiencies while achieving on-time-delivery performance
- Preparing work orders for materials and product processing and coordinating with production supervisors to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements; Maintaining work order dates based on schedule changes due to changing customer requirements
- Communicating with Customer Service Representatives Planning Department and Plant Management personnel regarding customer orders and plant scheduling
- Maintaining progress reports schedules and other related records including ERP planner data
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to eliminate waste and drive productivity through application of LEAN principles
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain Business Logistics or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Requires computer operation skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite CAD and Oracle ERP
- Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Requires knowledge of supply chain programs (Campaigns Rhythm Wheels Advanced Supply Chain Planning Finite Scheduling)
- Requires knowledge of material requirements planning in a high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment
- Requires knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems
- Requires knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles
- The Scheduling Coordinator II requires a track record of delivering high impact results and two (2) four (4) years of professional MRP knowledge and ERP experience in a high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment. participating in planning performance metrics to obtain lean production ideals; work in progress and finished goods inventory levels customer service levels work order management performance manufacturing capacity and quality metrics.
- Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time talking and hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing walking sitting and reaching with arms and hands; and less than 1/3 of time using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel climbing or balancing and stooping kneeling crouching or crawling.
- Lifting: Requires lifting up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of time.
- Vision: Requires accurate close distant color and peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.
- Environment: Requires 1/3 to 2/3 of time working in wet or humid conditions and working near moving mechanical parts; and less than 1/3 of time working in an office setting with very limited exposure exposed to outdoor weather conditions exposed to fumes or airborne particles exposed to vibration and risk of electrical shock.
- Noise: Requires exposure to loud noise.
