Program Mission- The mission of Vertivs Sales Development Program is to create a strong sales talent pipeline by developing new industry talent - providing them foundational sales skills as well as exposure to multiple facets of the business professional support through mentorship and inner and outer program of this program will be measured by the hiring of a diverse group of sales professionals a higher retention rate within the sales organization and the effective execution of business goal is to create a reputation among universities across the country asbest in class for technical and solutions sales aspirations.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

If you are looking for a career in sales Vertivs Sales Development Program (SDP) is designed for you. This program builds future sales professionals within our sales team by providing recent college graduates the opportunity to learn foundational sales skills acquiring experience owning key tasks advancing leadership skills and gaining exposure to senior leadership.

You will spend the first year in inside sales learning the basics of Vertivs products systems and the second year you will gain exposure to various selling motions and sales disciplines within the company through rotational assignments putting you on the fast track to outside sales.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Training to become an expert of Vertivs various solutions (i.e. AC power products Thermal products services etc.)
  • Assisting with approvals of customization of Vertivs products/solutions
  • Participating in inbound and outbound calls to Vertivs customers to determine/discuss customers needs and requirements.
  • Responding to Requests for Proposal from Vertivs customers/prospects
  • Interacting with Sales Leaders on a regular basis
  • Working with various sales tools such as Product configurators proposal development tools MS Power BI etc.
  • Traveling to Field Sales offices and supporting customer-facing meetings
  • Partnering with Vertiv Sales Leaders who focus on specific Vertical Industries (i.e. Healthcare Retail Education Finance and Government)
  • Conducting presentations/training sessions with colleagues and Sales teams

Career Path After Completion

Upon successful completion of the program participants will be prepared to be placed in a sales role where they will apply their training and experience to drive customer relationships business growth and long-term career success at Vertiv.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business Marketing Sales or related field required.
  • Strong communication skills including written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets databases and MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and implement process solutions with objective measurable results.
  • Adaptable with the desire to learn and advance.

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will be located onsite at one of the companys central Ohio locations.
  • Travel may be required up to 10%.
  • Strong desire to pursue a career in sales with the ability to relocate if required upon completion of the program.
