This position provides leadership and support for daily unit operations ensuring safe and efficient patient care. The role coordinates patient placement and staff assignments assists clinical staff and supervises clinical activities. Responsibilities include facilitating communication among staff medical teams and families; supporting educational training and orientation; and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
The position also involves responding to changes in patient conditions overseeing inventory and equipment maintenance and collaborating with the manager on budgeting and resource utilization. As needed the role performs staff nurse duties and contributes to committee work within the organization.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor Med Surg General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd St. Louis Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time 36 hours/week

Shift:Varies but primarily 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.

  • Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisor experience preferred.

  • Bachelors degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push pull and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.

  • Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties.
