Job Title: RN Stepdown - Cardio-pulmonary
Location: Cincinnati OH
Type: Contract 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift 36 Hours/Week 12-Hour Night Shifts Every Other Weekend

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking RN Stepdown - Cardio for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati OH.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult stepdown patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with acute MI CHF arrhythmias and cardiomyopathy
• Care for ventilator-dependent and non-invasive ventilation patients (BiPAP/CPAP/APAP)
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry data
• Administer medications IV infusions blood transfusions and injections
• Provide central line care and maintenance
• Conduct neurological assessments including NIH Stroke Scale (stroke unit requirement)
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as 12-lead EKGs and point-of-care glucose testing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and respiratory therapists
• Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality standards
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State RN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage complex medical stepdown patients
• Competency in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
• Experience in cardiac stepdown ICU or telemetry units preferred
• Experience with ventilated or respiratory-compromised patients preferred
• Experience in stroke-certified units preferred
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt in a culturally diverse healthcare setting
