Location: Petaluma California
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 5x8 Hours 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Endoscopy department in an acute care setting. The RN will provide high-quality patient care throughout endoscopic procedures while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before during and after endoscopic procedures
- Perform patient assessments and monitor patient status throughout procedures
- Administer medications and sedation as ordered
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures
- Maintain accurate patient documentation within the EMR system
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery care
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous Endoscopy experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
