Job Summary

BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. Across our 60 locations we provide programs in a variety of service areas including workforce development children youth families seniors and homeless prevention.

This is a Temp-to-Perm position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide coverage for the front desk when needed
  • Assist manager and Executive Assistant with filing scanning other tasks as needed
  • Answer in-coming phone calls take messages and direct them to the appropriate persons.
  • Welcome and greet all customers visiting the work site.
  • Distribute department/program mail daily in a timely manner.
  • Run a variety of errands including delivering incoming packages.
  • Perform additional duties as required by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand walk or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb five flights of stairs if required to conduct fieldwork.
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
