Job Summary: Seeking an experienced CT Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality CT and radiographic imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment while ensuring patient safety and adherence to radiation protection standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year recent CT or Radiologic Technologist experience required
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
Active NYS Radiologic Technologist License/Registration required
CT imaging experience required
Strong knowledge of radiologic safety and imaging protocols required
Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment required
Strong patient positioning and communication skills required
English proficiency required (Read Write Speak)
ARRT (R) certification required
ARRT (CT) preferred
BLS (AHA) preferred
Ability to participate in on-call rotation weekends and holiday coverage required
Responsibilities:
Perform CT and radiographic imaging examinations under radiologist direction
Position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
Explain imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort
Operate CT and radiology equipment safely and efficiently
Select proper exposure factors for high-quality diagnostic images
Maintain radiation safety and protection standards
Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures
Process images and maintain accurate RIS documentation
Enter clinical and billing information into RIS systems
Report imaging equipment malfunctions promptly
Follow departmental imaging protocols and hospital policies
Support workflow in a high-volume imaging environment
Maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance
Additional Details:
On-call coverage required
Rotational weekends and holidays required
