About the Role: The Quality Manager also known as Quality Assurance Manager or QA Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining a robust quality management system within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ISO 9001 compliance continuous improvement process optimization and customer satisfaction. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring product quality driving corrective and preventive actions and supporting cross-functional teams in achieving operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Develop implement and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and industry best practices
Lead internal and external audit programs including customer audits and regulatory inspections
Drive corrective and preventive actions root cause analysis and nonconformance resolution using methodologies such as CAPA and 8D
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineering and design to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout product lifecycle
Support design and development activities including design reviews risk management validation verification and design transfer to production
Establish and monitor quality metrics KPIs and statistical process control methods such as SPC SQC FMEA and DOE
Oversee complaint handling customer feedback and product recall processes to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement
Lead and mentor quality technicians and team members fostering a culture of quality and accountability
Implement process validation process improvement initiatives and quality training programs across operations
Prepare and present reports on quality performance trends and system effectiveness to leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with ISO 9001 quality systems in a manufacturing environment
At least 1 year of experience managing or supervising quality personnel
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including SPC SQC FMEA DOE CAPA and root cause analysis
Experience with MRP or ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Proficiency with computer systems data analysis tools and reporting software
Desired Qualifications:
Certification in quality management such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Experience in advanced manufacturing electronics materials science or high-precision component production
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in highly controlled industries
Experience with risk management frameworks validation protocols and reliability engineering
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and cost reduction initiatives
