Position Summary

We are seeking a driven technically credible Business Development Manager to expand nationwide sales of commercial electric vehicles and low-floor mobility solutions. This is a new-business hunter role focused on developing relationships with municipalities government agencies airports universities healthcare systems hospitality organizations shuttle operators corporate fleets transportation contractors and other organizations operating high-utilization vehicle fleets.

The successful candidate will combine strong prospecting and closing ability with a working understanding of vehicle electronics commercial vehicle systems fleet operations electrification charging accessibility and total cost of ownership. This person will independently build a national pipeline represent the company at trade shows manage complex and often lengthy sales cycles and coordinate internal technical resources to move opportunities from initial discovery through procurement and fleet deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a nationwide new-business strategy for commercial electric vehicles low-floor shuttle buses fleet-conversion solutions and related mobility products.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with public-sector agencies and private fleet operators including municipalities transit organizations airports universities hospitals hotels resorts corporate campuses shuttle operators and fleet-management providers.
  • Build a qualified pipeline through direct prospecting industry contacts referrals dealer and channel relationships trade shows fleet events associations and targeted account development.
  • Conduct consultative discovery regarding route profiles duty cycles vehicle replacement schedules passenger capacity accessibility charging requirements technical specifications funding procurement and operating economics.
  • Translate vehicle electronics battery and charging considerations performance specifications and total-cost-of-ownership factors into clear business value for technical and nontechnical buyers.
  • Navigate long-cycle and multi-stakeholder sales involving fleet management operations finance procurement engineering maintenance sustainability executive leadership and public-sector decision makers.
  • Monitor RFPs grants incentive programs public purchasing schedules and fleet-replacement initiatives; develop opportunities before formal solicitation whenever possible.
  • Coordinate demonstrations technical presentations proposals pricing specifications and customer follow-up with internal engineering operations service leadership and external partners.
  • Attend and actively work industry trade shows conferences fleet events customer demonstrations and association meetings.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM activity forecasting account plans opportunity stages next steps and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent the company with urgency confidence technical credibility and high personal accountability.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven success developing and closing new B2B business in a technical vehicle fleet transportation aerospace automotive industrial or capital-equipment market.
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality with evidence of creating pipeline rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or established house accounts.
  • Ability to understand and confidently discuss technical products vehicle electronics electrical systems powertrain or charging concepts performance specifications and customer operating requirements.
  • Strong communication presentation negotiation follow-up and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a remote national territory and maintain disciplined activity without close day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience managing complex multi-stakeholder and longer-cycle opportunities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% including trade shows customer visits demonstrations and industry events.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel throughout the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial vehicle electric vehicle shuttle bus transit fleet electrification charging infrastructure vehicle electronics telematics aerospace automotive systems specialty vehicle or heavy-equipment sales experience.
  • Existing relationships with municipalities transit agencies airports universities fleet operators transportation contractors dealers or public-sector procurement stakeholders.
  • Experience responding to RFPs working with government procurement or supporting grant- and incentive-funded purchases.
  • Knowledge of battery-electric vehicles charging route and duty-cycle analysis fleet economics accessibility and commercial vehicle configuration.
  • Bachelors degree in business engineering transportation automotive technology or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
