The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring incoming raw materials in-process products and finished goods meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in quality assurance inspection testing and compliance activities within a manufacturing environment. The position focuses on sample collection quality inspections documentation and adherence to quality control procedures to maintain product integrity food safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Perform incoming raw material inspections and quality control testing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Conduct in-process and finished product inspections to verify quality safety and consistency requirements
Collect label and manage samples for laboratory testing and analysis
Execute testing and sampling procedures in accordance with SOPs GMP HACCP and quality assurance protocols
Document inspection and testing results maintain accurate quality records and update quality management systems
Identify non-conforming materials or products initiate corrective actions and support root cause investigations
Collaborate with production warehouse procurement and quality teams to resolve quality concerns
Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure proper handling and storage practices
Support internal audits compliance inspections and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to safety regulations food safety requirements and quality standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Science Food Science Chemistry Biology or related field preferred
Experience in quality control quality assurance manufacturing food production laboratory or inspection environments
Knowledge of GMP GFSI BRC SQF HACCP ISO standards or other quality management systems
Familiarity with sampling techniques inspection tools measuring devices and testing procedures
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects inconsistencies and quality issues
Proficiency with documentation data entry and quality reporting systems
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance requirements
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and quality tracking software
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in food manufacturing beverage manufacturing consumer products pharmaceutical or related regulated industries
Certification in HACCP PCQI Food Defense Six Sigma or CQI
Experience with laboratory testing analytical equipment or environmental monitoring programs
Knowledge of supplier quality programs and audit processes
Strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
