Job Summary
Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates located near Richmond VA)
Job Description
The Virginia Supreme Court is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join its technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring the quality reliability and performance of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and execute automated test scripts for web-based and enterprise applications.
- Create and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with developers business analysts and project managers to understand requirements and testing needs.
- Perform functional regression integration API and end-to-end testing.
- Identify document track and verify software defects.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into deployment processes.
- Ensure software quality standards and best practices are followed throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver Cypress Playwright or TestComplete.
- Proficiency in Java C# Python or JavaScript for test automation.
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman Rest Assured or similar.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with Git Azure DevOps Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Excellent troubleshooting analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government or public-sector clients.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and security testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Candidates located in or near Richmond Virginia are highly preferred.
