We are looking for a team member with an understanding of assembly processes and the desire to work ideal candidate will have a drive to learn Pneu-Dart products and possess critical thinking skills with acute attention to detail.

Position Summary

The primary role of a Projector Technician is to assemble and repair company created projectors (dart guns) according to Standard Work Practices while working within a team-based environment.

Responsibilities:

• Building various types of projectors for the animal and livestock industry
• Diagnosing repairing modifying all projector types based on customer need
• Safely test-firing production units
• Operating a CNC lathe manual mill and other machines to complete job tasks as needed
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed on customer equipment
• Repairing damaged components and correcting malfunctions
• Bluing barrels and various components
• Following compliance regulations including but not limited to ATF Department of State and the Bureau of Industry and Security.
• Participate and contribute to continuous improvement projects across various departments

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• General machining skills
• Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small parts
• Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail necessary to troubleshoot production and assembly issues
• Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with equipment
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills both written and verbal

Accountabilities:

• Learn products manufacturing processes service policies and the research/science behind Pneu-Dart products. Specifically learning Projector design and assembly will be of primary importance including how RDDs function within the projector.
• Learn to assemble and repair all Pneu-Dart model projectors
• Learn to navigate projector-related functions within Pneu-Darts computerized order management system

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to follow standard work processes and procedures (SWPs)
• Physical activity including:
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Fine motor skills hand manipulation
