Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dependable candidates for entry-level Patient Care Technician opportunities.
Patient Care Technicians work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to assist with basic patient-care needs and help maintain a safe and comfortable patient environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with basic activities of daily living
- Obtain and document basic vital signs as directed
- Assist with patient mobility positioning and transport
- Prepare patient rooms and maintain a clean care environment
- Stock basic patient-care supplies
- Answer patient call lights and communicate needs to nursing staff
- Provide basic comfort and non-clinical patient assistance
- Document assigned patient information accurately
- Follow infection-prevention and safety procedures
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Report changes or concerns to appropriate clinical staff
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current HIPAA training certificate required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with patient care
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
- Ability to follow safety infection-control and confidentiality procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- CNA PCT nursing assistant or healthcare-related training
- Previous caregiving or patient-care experience
