Project Manager, Internal Audit

The Project Manager Internal Audit serves as a trusted support member of the Internal Audit Leadership Team supporting effective department operations and the coordination of key governance activities. This role manages complex calendars Audit Committee and Board deliverables department communications and action item tracking to ensure priorities are executed efficiently and on time.

The role also supports strategic initiatives audit observation followup stakeholder engagement executive reporting and the operational cadence of the Internal Audit function. Acting as a central coordination point across Internal Audit management and key stakeholders this individual drives accountability consistency and execution across departmental initiativesincluding meeting logistics materials preparation minutes routing and timely submissions.

Success in this role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills sound judgment discretion with confidential information proactive problemsolving and the ability to anticipate needs and drive followthrough in a fastpaced environment. Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint Excel Teams and SharePoint is required.

• Responsible for planning and scheduling various project workloads.
• Gathers and analyzes information to prepare status reports.
• Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
• Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
• Tracks and records costs through work orders and invoices.
• Ensures that all project steps and activities are properly documented and closed in scheduling systems.
• Research monitor and analyze data to produce business insights and action recommendations.
• Coordinate work of cross-departmental teams to ensure project objectives are achieved and timelines are met. Follow up with various stakeholders to ensure that all project plans are executed as expected
• Serves as a central point of contact to routinely relay facilitate and keep stakeholders apprised of the projects status and respond to questions or inquiries regarding the project.
• Maintains open communications and relationships with clients as well as the project team coordinates and conducts meetings as appropriate.
  

• Demonstrated success in managing small to medium to scale projects.
• Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects or competing deadlines
• Attention to details and possess the ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to research issues prepare evaluations on problems and recommend viable solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in collecting and analyzing data with skill in optimizing work processes
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated skills in project tracking and management projects.
• Intermediate knowledge of software used to manage analyze and present data preferred. nd Knowledge of and experience with department functions programs and practices.
• Demonstrated capability to communicate and work effectively at all levels of the organization inspiring respect and credibility.

• Bachelors Degree with 2 years relevant work experience
• Or Associates Degree with 4 years relevant work experience
• OrHigh School Diploma with 6 years relevant work experience

• Certification in a Project Management discipline such as Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
• Utility or Energy industry experience preferred.
  

• Up to 25% travel primarily within NY State.
• May attend a variety of meetings conferences seminars during and outside of normal business hours.
• Ability to visit customer sites and NYPA facilities.
