To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Production Manager 2nd Shift located in Columbia SC.
Reporting to the Director of Operations the Production Manager guides and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the following areas of a manufacturing department; multi-level assembly electronic card/system testing and quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost quality and delivery requirements.
Shift: 2nd: 3:30pm 12:00am Monday-Friday
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
- Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KPIs.
- Supervise production staff on work methods and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive excellence.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
- Report to leadership team in weekly operations reviews.
- Coach and mentor Operations leadership.
- Experience and broad understanding of safety systems and implementation of safety rules and policies.
- Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- Experience multiple functional technologies/processes industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Strong planning and organizational interpersonal communication analytical and decision-making skills.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 5 years Management Supervisory Team Building
- 5 years of manufacturing production and operations
- Six Sigma 5S Lean Manufacturing and Transactional Lean to drive improvement.
- Experience in Electrical Manufacturing Technology in a high volume highly automated setting.
- Detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
- Expert skills in Kronos MRP time keeping systems Raptor (preferred)
- Advanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint spreadsheet (PC) presentation and database software.
- Experience and strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with basic understanding of financial accounting practices is highly desirable.
