Job Summary:

Under the supervision of theSterileProcessing supervisor and the Director of O.R. theSterileProcessor ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation equipment and sterilizationprocesses. TheSterileProcessor must demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques must have knowledge of equipment instruments procedures and supplies used in the operating room. TheSterileProcessor must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience tact and endurance. This position must provide on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff including communicating special equipment needs as they arise. TheSterileProcessor must also monitor the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.

Training Education & Experience:

• High School graduate or GEDrequired
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written
• Certification inSterileProcessing ispreferred
• A minimum of one (1) year ofSterileProcessing experiencepreferred
