Principal Product Manager Technical, Amazon Lists

What if you could re-invent how millions of customers plan their shopping needs We are looking for a Principal Product Manager Tech (PMT) to lead a new 01 initiative that will shape the future of how customers discover organize and share across Amazon. This is a high-ambiguity high-impact role that requires creative product thinking deep technical fluency and a strong point of view on how Generative AI can unlock transformative customer experiences.

As a Principal PMT you will define the long-term vision and strategy influence senior leadership and drive execution across engineering science and design teams. You will operate with significant autonomy navigating ambiguity to identify the biggest customer problems worth solving and delivering innovative solutions at scale.

### Preferred Qualifications

- Direct experience applying Generative AI LLMs or machine learning to consumer-facing products
- Proven ability to influence without authority at executive levels (VP/SVP)
- Experience in e-commerce personalization social commerce or content curation domains
- MBA or advanced technical degree
- Strong written communication skills with experience authoring narratives (6-pagers PR/FAQs)

Key job responsibilities
You will define and champion a bold product vision for a new 01 initiative within Amazon Lists grounded in deep customer understanding and market insight. Youll identify and drive opportunities to apply Gen AI and large language models to create differentiated intelligent customer experiences. Youll partner with engineering and applied science teams to evaluate technical feasibility define architecture trade-offs and ensure scalable high-quality delivery. Youll align stakeholders across Amazon (retail personalization Alexa etc.) without direct authority; earn trust and drive consensus at VP levels. Youll conduct deep customer research define success metrics and relentlessly prioritize based on customer impact. Youll raise the bar on product thinking; mentor senior PMs and contribute to a culture of invention and high standards.



About the team
Amazon Lists helps hundreds of millions of customers organize and share the things they love from wish lists and gift registries to idea boards and collections. Were entering a new chapter applying state of the art AI to re-imagine how customers curate discover and connect through lists.

- Bachelors degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience assessing portfolio opportunity to make the appropriate long term strategic investments while maintaining the short-term delivery of leads

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement
- Experience in customer-facing product development and product management including defining launching and optimizing product and services
- Experience working with presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
- Experience in e-commerce retail or advertising

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
