Across our 60 locations we provide programs in a variety of service areas including workforce development children youth families seniors and homeless prevention.
Our Cornerstone community center youth programs are designed to provide engaging high-quality youth services in partnership with NYCHA and our strong network of nonprofit providers across the City. The Cornerstone adult programs are designed to enhance skills and promote social interaction community engagement and physical activity.
QUALIFICATIONS
One to two years building maintenance experience
Proficiency in English required; proficiency in a second language preferred
Valid drivers license preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with beautification work as necessary.
Perform groundwork to ensure facility surrounding is free of hazards and/or debris.
Replenish restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are sanitized hourly.
Sweep mop vacuum empty trash clean windows sanitation etc. regularly and as necessary
Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong maintenance skills
Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to work with multiple agency personnel
Ability to climb and stand on a 15-foot ladder
Ability to lift pull push and/or move a minimum of 60 pounds
Ability to stand walk crouch or sit for long periods of time
Ability to climb five flights of stairs
Ability to bend and retrieve objects
Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation
Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather including inclement weather
