We are seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Production Operator to join our team and play a critical role in producing high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise attention to detail and hands-on experience operating advanced CNC machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up operate and monitor 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision parts to specification
- Interpret and work from technical drawings blueprints and CAD models
- Select appropriate cutting tools fixtures and materials for each job
- Load edit and verify CNC programs as needed
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measuring tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating efficiently
- Collaborate closely with engineers programmers and team members to improve processes and outcomes
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming tooling and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with quality inspection tools (calipers micrometers CMM etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zimmermann 5-axis CNC machines (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Background in precision machining aerospace automotive or similar industries
