Knowledge of the principles methods and tools employed in the general operation of engines pumps valves motors and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices; principles and methods of biological and chemical sewage analyses; effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes; principles of supervision
Massachusetts wastewater license - Any class M license level
Responsibilities:
As an Operator youll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in Southbridge MA youll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant along with loader operations at the compost facility. Youll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance establishing and maintaining effective sample procedures of plant operations and effluent and providing effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise. Youll diagnose operating problems make process control adjustments direct and perform necessary corrective action. Youll also prepare reports collect samples perform laboratory testing determine proper chemical flow rates maintain shift logs and perform other duties as required. Most importantly youlltake actionto ensure the safety health and well-being of you and your team.

I am primarily looking to fill the position with someone that has an active Massachusetts CLD with class (N) endorsement and a 2A or 2B hoisting license. Having a wastewater operations license or experience is a plus. They must be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes if on call. So ideally they will need to live no more than a 30 minute drive away from the work location.
