The Operations TestnEngineering team is seeking an individual with strong technical and interpersonal skillsnwith a focus on manufacturing test solutions. You will have an active engagement withnthe Hardware Operations and Business teams in Apple.n

Design for Testabiity - Provide early and on going manufacturing involvement tonensure new products are being tested in a logical and cost effective mannernincorporating FMEA product design targets using the Engineering RequirementsnSpecification (ERS).nProduct Life Cycle Engineering - Works all phases of a product from concept to repeatnmanufacturing to end of life. Provides production support engineering with respect tontechnically complex testing methods procedures and failure the optimization of test solutions and processes to enhance quality andnoperational efficiency in productionnTest Process Engineering - Designs and develops technically test processes tonimprove quality and efficiency. Utilize statistical tools (such as GRu0026R SPC and Cp/pCk)nto ensure processes/fixtures are scalable and are continuing to perform properly oncenqualified leveraging integration with factory data systems and shop floor systemsnFailure/Data Analysis - Plans develops and implements procedures for the testingnand evaluation of soon to be released products. Specifies test to be performedncompiles data and makes recommendations for test or tester design changes. Thisnwill include the use of Design of Experiments (DOE)nImprove product quality and cost by closing test gaps and correlations issues acrossnthe supply chainnDevelop new and or improved processes through the application of theoretical andnpractical engineeringnKeeps abreast of all meaningful technical trends and developments and incorporatesnthem in appropriate assignmentsnProvide direction and mentorship to third party vendors/automation suppliers and/ornCMs; be the technical leader and driver on owned projects; serve as a technicalnresource to other engineering groups and project leadersnDrive failure analysis and machine issue resolution when working with tester suppliersnand contract manufacturersnPrepare and present concise Test Engineering program status updates to the Execnteam on a weekly basis.n

Engineering background in display Optics Physics Semiconductor and/or EEn7 years of work experience in optics or semiconductor test station design metrology development automation test and/or assembly equipmentnB.S. or M.S/PhD in Engineering Optics Physics Semiconductor Imaging Science or equivalent preferred

Experienced in working with cross functional teams such as hardware design system teams capital equipment quality and process engineeringnKnowledge of tester qualification requirements including calibration correlation capability repeatability and reproducibility design of experiments and failure analysisnRequired to understand plan development builds and mass production with factories worldwidenAble to communicate effectively in a worldwide environmentnKnowledge of Acoustic technologies preferred
