Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Design develop and continuously improvetrainingprograms that support manufacturing operations and business goals
- Assesslearningneeds and translate them into structuredtrainingsolutions including curriculumlearningpaths andtrainingmaterials
- Develop and standardizetrainingcontent processes and frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability across teams and locations
- Analyzetrainingdata learner feedback and performance trends to identify gaps and drive measurable improvements
- Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to aligntraininginitiatives with organizational priorities
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to capture technical knowledge and convert it into effectivelearningexperiences
- Design and implementtrainingfor new products to support timely and effective workforce readiness
- Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions and support development oftrainingteam members
- Review and approvetrainingdocumentation labs and On-the-JobTraining(OJT) materials; support development of team capability in OJT creation
- Assess trainer performance through audits and evaluations; document findings and provide coaching to close gaps
- Develop and maintaintrainingdocumentation processes and standards to improve consistency and efficiency
- Create and analyze surveys and reporting to evaluatetrainingeffectiveness
- Manage LMS-related activities including enrollments reporting and communication oftrainingrequirements and updates
- Support hourly and salariedtrainingprograms as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners including local schools and state agencies
- Travel between facilities to supporttrainingneeds and stakeholder engagement
- Cross-train acrosstrainingfunctions to support a well-rounded and adaptabletrainingprogram
- Experience inLearning& Developmenttrainingprogram design or a related field within a manufacturing or technical environment
- Strong ability to design organize and improvetrainingprograms that support operational and business goals
- Proven experience assessinglearningneeds and developing structuredtrainingsolutions
- Solid understanding of instructional design principles adultlearningconcepts and blendedlearningapproaches
- Experience working withLearningManagement Systems (LMS) survey tools and content development platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence guide and support others without direct authority
- Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Manufacturing 5S Kanban or similar)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
TheTrainingSpecialistrole at Vertivoperates across both office and manufacturing environments. This position includes a mix of standing walking and sitting throughout the day while supportingtrainingdelivery and program implementation.
This role may require:
- Frequent movement between officestrainingrooms and manufacturing areas
- Standing for extended periods duringtrainingsessions
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs)
- Use of standard office andtrainingtechnology
- Wearing required PPE including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes in operational environments
The work environment includes both climate-controlled spaces and active production areas with noise machinery and varying temperatures. Adherence to all safety protocols is required.
