Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) Operations Managers are key to smooth efficient branch performance. With a focus on safety service and results youll lead daily operations support your team and drive business success. • Direct and coordinate overall operations to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Plan develop and implement operational policies across warehousing transportation and customer service
• Design and manage a central dispatch system for improved logistics and workflow
• Outline and implement operational changes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor and manage operating budgets for warehouse manufacturing and trucking

• Ensure trucking operations comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Oversee warehouse conditions equipment and storage utilization
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Receiving to ensure accurate and timely product arrivals
• Maintain communication with vendors on issues such as missing materials backorders and delivery challenges

• Ensure delivery of high-quality products and services to customers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Represent the company professionally in all customer and vendor interactions

• Research and implement technologies to enhance operational competitiveness
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information including personnel pricing customer data and distribution methods

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the branch and corporate objectives

• Knowledge of basic construction materials and optimal product distribution
• Bachelors degree in Management or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead motivate and build a successful team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of the building materials industry
