Prescott Solutions is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to identify an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a high-priority opportunity supporting Nuclear Cardiology and General Nuclear Medicine services in Jersey City New Jersey.
This is a contract to hire position an excellent opportunity for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech seeking competitive compensation stable hours advanced imaging exposure and the potential for long-term placement within a respected healthcare environment.
Position Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures patient preparation isotope handling image acquisition equipment operation and quality control procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety standards.
This role supports both Nuclear Cardiology and General Nuclear Medicine services. Experience with SPECT/CT imaging is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures
Administer radio pharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
Operate Nuclear Medicine and SPECT/CT imaging equipment
Perform image processing and quality assurance procedures
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain exam processes
Monitor patient safety comfort and response during procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Collaborate with physicians radiologists cardiologists and clinical staff
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental protocols
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
Experience in both General Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology strongly preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Certifications & Licensures
ARRT (N) registered or CNMT certified required
Current New Jersey State Radiology License required
ACR CT Certification preferred for SPECT/CT operation
IV Certification preferred
Current CPR certification required
Must maintain all CE requirements and licenses in good standing
