Job Title: Sr. Engineer (AI and Cloud)

Job Description:
As a Sr. Engineer (AI and Cloud) you will lead the design development and delivery of high performance scalable applications within a distributed cloud environment. You will work at the intersection of cloud platforms AI-driven development and financial systems enabling next generation solutions that support high volume transaction processing and real time risk analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design build and support distributed high throughput applications in cloud environments.
• Lead technical discussions and drive solution architecture aligned with strategic goals.
• Provide hands-on mentoring and guidance on AI and cloud best practices.
• Collaborate with business engineering and operations teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies.
• Improve system performance scalability and time to market through continuous optimization.
• Support production systems and drive operational excellence using monitoring and telemetry tools.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

• 6 years of experience in software development for large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Strong experience developing distributed systems and cloud-based applications.
• Experience with C# in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and Aerospike.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments and handle complex multi-stream initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI-driven development tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of financial systems trading platforms or risk management applications.
• Experience with BPM tools such as Appian.
• Experience monitoring and operating mission-critical services.
• Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities in technical teams.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
