Position: Middleware Administrator / Application Server Engineer
Location: Los Angeles CA
Duration: 6months
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator / Application Server Engineer to manage support and optimize enterprise middleware platforms supporting mission-critical applications.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Oracle WebLogic Red Hat JBoss/WildFly and Microsoft IIS along with strong troubleshooting performance tuning and production support expertise.
- Install configure administer and maintain WebSphere WebLogic JBoss/WildFly and IIS environments.
- Deploy and support enterprise applications across Development QA UAT and Production environments.
- Monitor system performance analyze logs and resolve availability and performance issues.
- Perform JVM tuning heap analysis garbage collection optimization and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot production incidents conduct root cause analysis and restore services.
- Configure clustering load balancing high availability and failover environments.
- Manage SSL certificates authentication mechanisms and security configurations.
- Apply patches upgrades and maintenance activities with minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Python or PowerShell.
- Collaborate with application database network and security teams.
- Support ITIL-based change management processes and participate in on-call support.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of middleware/application server administration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Oracle WebLogic Server
- Red Hat JBoss/WildFly
- Microsoft IIS
- Experience supporting Java-based enterprise applications.
- Strong Linux/Unix and Windows administration skills.
- Expertise in JVM tuning garbage collection performance optimization and capacity planning.
- Experience with SSL certificates security configurations load balancing and highly available clustered environments.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting Python or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with enterprise middleware architecture and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
