Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech Vishay Yankton SD is currently seeking a full-time Production Manager responsible for providing management direction for Yankton production operations involved in the manufacturing of Magnetics Inductors and Connectors. Supports the location in Lean initiatives by helping to facilitate training guidance and follow up on projects initiated by the production team.

Job Location:

This position is located on-site Yankton SD. We are situated in Southeast South Dakota: on the banks of the Missouri River and minutes from Lewis and Clark Lake where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Directs and plans production efforts to make optimal use of people and equipment.
  • Develops and operates within budget for production sales plan headcount direct cost of production units and associated overheads.
  • Plans and directs all activities required to meet quality cost and service objectives as defined by corporate guidelines and/or customer requirements.
  • Provides direct supervision of a staff of Production Supervisors and other staff that help carry out job functions mentioned above.
  • Supports the Yankton location in Lean initiatives by helping facilitate training guiding and follow up on projects initiated by the team
  • Administers the Company performance evaluation and pay programs for direct reports.
  • Develops and initiates cost reduction programs in line with Division objectives.
  • Maintains good employee relations and a non-union environment in area of responsibility.
  • Works closely with the Yankton Plant Manager and other department heads to attain worldwide goals for quality and customer missed promises and production missed promises.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring along:

  • 5 years experience in operations environment with significant manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline. Masters Degree a plus.
