Location: Hampton Iowa
Pay Rate: $46/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift Monday Friday; potential call weekend and night coverage
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hampton Iowa. This role supports laboratory operations in a critical access hospital setting and requires strong lab testing skills accuracy documentation and flexibility for possible call weekend and night coverage based on facility needs.
Responsibilities
Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
Process analyze and report lab specimens according to established procedures
Maintain quality control equipment function and laboratory safety standards
Document results accurately using Cerner and communicate critical findings as needed
Support flexible lab coverage including possible call weekends and nights
Requirements
Active applicable Medical Laboratory license or certification required
Minimum 2 years of MLS MLT or clinical laboratory experience required
Strong specimen processing testing quality control and reporting skills required
Cerner experience preferred
Must be flexible for Monday Friday day shift with possible call weekend and night coverage
