As we continue to expand our clinical initiatives we are seeking an experienced Remote Medical Writer / Scientific Communications Director to develop high-quality scientific and medical communications that support our organizations educational clinical and business objectives.
The Remote Medical Writer / Scientific Communications Director is responsible for developing reviewing and managing scientific clinical and regulatory content for internal and external audiences. This role requires exceptional writing editing and communication skills along with the ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into clear accurate and engaging content.
The ideal candidate has experience in medical writing scientific communications healthcare research and cross-functional collaboration within healthcare or life sciences organizations.
- Develop write edit and review scientific and medical documents for a variety of audiences.
- Create clinical education materials white papers reports presentations and healthcare publications.
- Translate complex medical and scientific information into clear concise and audience-appropriate content.
- Collaborate with clinical operational and leadership teams to develop communication strategies.
- Ensure all written materials are accurate evidence-based and aligned with current healthcare guidelines.
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize scientific research findings.
- Review and edit content for grammar accuracy consistency and compliance.
- Support the development of clinical protocols educational resources and training materials.
- Prepare executive summaries briefing documents and organizational communications.
- Maintain consistency in branding messaging and scientific integrity across all communications.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy.
- Organize and maintain documentation content libraries and reference materials.
- Participate in onboarding training sessions and team meetings.
- Stay informed on current healthcare trends medical research and industry best practices.
- Perform additional communication and documentation projects as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Biology Nursing Pharmacy Public Health Healthcare Administration Journalism English or a related field.
- Masters degree or Ph.D. in a scientific or healthcare discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in medical writing scientific communications healthcare publishing or clinical documentation.
- Excellent written editing proofreading and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and scientific literature.
- Experience conducting literature reviews and interpreting clinical research.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration tools.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
- Experience in healthcare senior care home health biotechnology pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
- Familiarity with publication standards and scientific writing guidelines.
- Experience preparing regulatory or clinical documentation.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
