Materials Planner

Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Material Planner 20%
- Work with engineering to develop and maintain bills of material.
Procurement 50%
- Obtain data needed to generate purchase requisitions price and number of units required.
- Write purchase requisitions.
- Generate POs
- Process Goods Received when materials have arrived.
- Add new Vendors into the purchasing system when necessary.
Materials Tracking 20%
- Follow progress of orders tracking expected and actual delivery dates.
- Provide concise updates of project material status
- Where needed address issues arising from the import of parts.
Data Management 10%
- Obtain quotes and manage TEAMS folder with quotes.
- Obtain any needed data sheets/specifications and enter into Agile system.
- Obtain RoHS Certificates and enter into Agile system.
Education & Experience
- BA or BS in a business or engineering related discipline.
- Experience with working across multiple software platforms.
Skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Working Conditions
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings
