Job Summary
Manufacturing Operations Manager
Greater Scranton Area PA
Estimated Compensation: $150000$200000 Base Salary Performance Bonus
The Business Problem
The company has significant growth capacity but remains too dependent on ownership for operational leadership and day-to-day decision-making.
The next phase of growth requires a proven manufacturing leader who can take ownership of the operation improve throughput increase productivity strengthen accountability and build a manufacturing team capable of operating at a higher level.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor developing people solving problems and driving measurable results.
What Youll Own
Manufacturing Performance
Own daily manufacturing operations and overall plant performance
Increase throughput output and labor productivity
Improve scheduling workflow and operational execution
Drive continuous improvement across production quality and efficiency
Leadership & Accountability
Lead supervisors team leads and production teams
Build a culture of ownership accountability and execution
Strengthen decision-making and leadership throughout the operation
Establish clear expectations and measurable performance standards
Operational Excellence
Improve quality reduce waste and increase operational consistency
Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
Implement KPI-driven management and performance tracking
Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Business Performance
Own operational results against budget and business objectives
Manage labor resources and manufacturing costs effectively
Improve profitability through stronger operational execution
Help build the operational foundation required for future growth
Must-Haves
Proven experience leading a manufacturing operation
Experience managing supervisors team leads and production teams
Demonstrated success increasing throughput productivity and operational performance
Strong floor leadership presence and hands-on management style
Experience driving accountability and measurable operational results
Lean Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence experience
Understanding of manufacturing financials labor utilization and operational KPIs
Experience with budget ownership and P&L impact
Wood products manufacturing experience
