JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

Dependable Maintenance Technician to ensure our I/DD facilities residences and offices remain safe clean and fully operational. Staff will support the Property Team with routine maintenance emergency repairs and inspections to support a comfortable and compliant environment for residents and staff.

I. Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance
  2. Respond promptly to repair requests with minimal disruption
  3. Maintain HVAC plumbing electrical lighting and structural systems
  4. Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping
  5. Move furniture/equipment as needed for residents and activities
  6. Track and complete work orders using maintenance software
  7. Respond to after-hours emergencies when assigned and as needed
  8. Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors
  9. Keep maintenance areas clean organized and safe
  10. Manage the inventory of tools and equipment

II. Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED required; trade/vocational training preferred
  2. Experience in maintenance or a similar role
  3. Knowledge of building systems (HVAC plumbing electrical) and general repair skills
  4. Comfortable using hand/power tools and maintenance software
  5. Understanding safety codes and a willingness to learn compliance regulations
  6. Professional and respectful when interacting with individuals with disabilities
  7. Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
  8. Valid drivers license with a clean record

III. Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain)

  1. HVAC EPA electrical or plumbing certifications
  2. OSHA 10/30 training
  3. CPR/First Aid

IV. Work Environment

  1. The facility supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  2. Must maintain professionalism discretion and sensitivity in all interactions
  3. Occasional on-call hours including nights and weekends

V. Hours/ Days of Work MondayFriday General Hours of Operation: 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt
