Pay: DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (Regular work schedule) Monday-Sunday 6am-finish (Harvest Schedule)

Location: Dayton OR

GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a maraschino cherry production facility. For this position applicants cannot be sensitive to strong smell/odor as the production process requires the use of Brine. Ideal candidates are flexible with schedule changes as the Harvest season will require overtime & weekend work. If you are interested in a temp to hire position APPLY TODAY

Responsibilities:

Read and understand blueprints sketches diagrams and operating manuals.

Troubleshoot electrical control circuits.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to weld parts or structures.

Ability to fabricate parts guards etc. as needed.

Ability to operate production line equipment unassisted.

Ability to repair and install plumbing systems.

Be aware of and follow all safety techniques including lockouts bump caps confined space electrical safety and consistently comply with all facility safety procedures.

Ability to work with and on compressed air systems solenoids air cylinders piping etc.

Ability to train maintenance and production personnel on proper procedures pertaining to plant equipment.

Demonstrate consistent behavior indicating the capacity and willingness to function as an independent maintenance technician for the entire facility needing only limited direction.

Accurate paperwork completion; maintain records/documentation as required.

Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Good communication skills

Internal GMP training.

Trained and knowledgeable in the use of personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Must pass respiratory fitness test.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

OSHA forklift license.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing and walking.

Occasional lifting or pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.

Occasional climbing bending stooping and twisting.

Exposure to brine (salt sulfur dioxide calcium chloride) fumes.

Exposure to bleach (chlorine) fumes.
