Job Summary
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani a national law firm with offices in all 50 states has an immediate opening in its Madison office for an experienced litigation attorney to join our growing practice. This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer who wants to do meaningful work in a flexible collaborative and expanding office backed by the full resources of a major national firm.
Our Madison office was opened to build something lasting in Wisconsin: a strong client-focused platform for litigation and employment work supported by deep national infrastructure but led locally with real autonomy and opportunity. We are looking for someone who wants more than a routine lateral move someone who wants to help shape an office develop client relationships and grow with the team.
This role is hybrid and we are flexible. We value in-person connection and believe that building a strong office culture matters especially in a growing market. At the same time we understand that talented lawyers need flexibility and we support a modern approach to work.
About the opportunity: The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience and an interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Employment litigation including discrimination retaliation harassment wage and hour restrictive covenant and wrongful termination matters.
- Commercial litigation including contract disputes business torts and pretrial motion practice.
- Professional liability defense and related complex civil matters.
Candidates should expect to handle a meaningful and varied docket including drafting pleadings and motions managing discovery taking and defending depositions appearing at hearings participating in mediations and working directly with clients from day one. Depending on experience the attorney may also have opportunities to support case strategy supervise junior lawyers and contribute to business development efforts.

About Madison and the office: Our Madison office is part of a broader strategic investment in Wisconsin. The office is led by Stephanie Jones Chief Operating Partner of the firm nationwide who relocated to Madison with her husband who is in college athletics at UW-Madison. Qualifications:
- 2 years of litigation experience.
- Wisconsin bar admission required.
- Strong writing research and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with discovery depositions motion practice hearings and client counseling.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Interest in helping grow a local office within a national firm platform.
