Position Overview:

The Machinist will produce precision parts and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.

What Youll Do

As a Machinist youll be part of our team located in Elyria Ohio. Youll get to:

• Setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
• Machine parts to provided blueprint specifications using machine tools such as lathes milling machines or grinders.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers gauge blocks and dial indicators.
• Maintain a safe clean and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanics shop mathematics metal properties layout and machining procedures.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Experience manufacturing cold heading tooling preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
• Bend lift product equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
• Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time.
