Job Description
We are seeking an litigation attorney to join Treks legal team. This role will manage the companys litigation matters across a range of practice areas working closely with internal business partners and outside counsel.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct a range of litigation matters including product and premises liability employment and general civil and class action litigation
Supervise litigation strategy budgets and case timelines
Participate in all aspects of case management including responding to pleadings conducting discovery preparing witnesses and attending trial.
Conduct internal investigations and fact-finding in connection with disputes and pre-litigation matters
Draft and review settlement agreements and other litigation-related documents
Oversee regulatory inquiries and government investigations as needed
Advise on risk-mitigation strategies and initiatives
Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Wisconsin
2 years of litigation experience either at a law firm or in-house
Experience with product liability and employment matters strongly preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently manage multiple matters simultaneously and collaborate with different business units
Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
Preferred
Familiarity with cycling industry products safety standards or CPSC regulatory matters
