Job Summary
Position Summary
This temporary laboratory technician will support ongoing molecular epidemiology projects at a laboratory at UNC . The individual will be responsible for running a variety of molecular assays to detect and/or quantify infectious agents from a variety of specimens. They will be responsible for extraction of the biospecimens which will nvolve work with both DNA and RNA . The individual will be responsible to managing large sets of data generated and providing summary statistics for the assays. They will also be responsible for quality assurance of the assays. The position will report to a senior lab technician the lab manager and the principle investigator.
