And we are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join our Overview:PTA Plastics is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide first-level technical support for employees across office and manufacturing environments. This role serves as the primary point of contact for routine technology issues supporting desktop and laptop computers mobile devices printers user accounts and production technology systems. The IT Support Technician I will troubleshoot technical issues deploy hardware assist with onboarding and work closely with internal employees and higher-tier IT resources to ensure reliable technology :Provide first-level technical support for desktop computers laptops mobile devices printers and other business and manage support requests through the Help Desk ticketing hardware software operating system and user account password resets account support and user access image configure and deploy new desktop and laptop complex technical issues to higher-tier support providers as manufacturing technologies including barcode scanners label printers and related with installation deployment and basic troubleshooting of network equipment such as wireless access points switches and peripheral employee onboarding by preparing equipment configuring accounts and providing end-user technical information effectively to employees with varying levels of technical documentation of support activities procedures and troubleshooting cybersecurity policies and security best practices to protect company systems and develop technical knowledge and skills to support evolving business Skills/Abilities:Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and desktop with Microsoft Office applications and common business of fundamental networking concepts including Wi-Fi VPN DNS and device troubleshooting and problem-solving customer service orientation with a focus on responsiveness and verbal and written communication to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing support understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security best and willingness to learn new technologies and and Experience:Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education experience and professional certifications. Previous experience in a help desk technical support or customer support supporting manufacturing or industrial with ticketing systems and remote support Requirements: Availability for on-call support may be of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 to sit or stand for extended working in various environmental conditions including noise heat cold and exposure to to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses gloves and ear protection when on the manufacturing floor.
