IT Project Manager Application Support & Azure Modernization Consultant

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Application Support Consultant to support critical business applications databases websites and cloud modernization initiatives. This role will provide project management application support database analysis data storage optimization and Azure modernization support for complex enterprise systems.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders technical teams vendors and leadership to ensure reliable system operations effective communication timely issue resolution and successful delivery of technology initiatives.

• Provide IT project management support for application database website and modernization initiatives.
• Manage project scope schedules dependencies deliverables risks and stakeholder communications.
• Create and maintain project documentation status reports technical recommendations and other project artifacts.
• Provide day-to-day IT application support for business systems websites databases and related platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website application database connectivity and remote access issues.
• Install configure administer and maintain websites applications and databases.
• Support testing activities for websites applications databases and system changes.
• Coordinate activities with business divisions technical teams vendors and other IT resources.
• Provide technical direction and operational support for complex software solutions.
• Manage vendor-related activities including subscriptions contracts purchase requests payments and professional services.
• Support chatbot implementation and management.
• Conduct assessments of current data storage environments including capacity performance access patterns bottlenecks retention practices and data sensitivity.
• Analyze legacy databases application databases and structured data environments to identify dependencies inefficiencies scalability concerns and modernization opportunities.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business and technical needs into documentation recommendations future-state designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on Azure-based solutions including Azure SQL storage accounts Data Lake and related cloud services.
• Support cloud migration planning proof-of-concept initiatives and phased modernization strategies.
• Provide knowledge transfer training analysis and guidance to internal teams.

• Experience in IT project management roles.
• Experience providing IT application support.
• Experience supporting applications in Microsoft Azure and/or administering Azure environments.
• Experience with data storage optimization.
• Experience with database analysis.
• Experience with Azure modernization support.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL databases.

• Azure Administrator certification.
• Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with ShareFile.
• Experience with Tableau.
• Experience with Drupal.
• Experience with Acquia.
• Experience with OnContact.
• Experience with Azure SQL Azure Data Lake Azure storage accounts and Azure migration tools.
• Experience with Azure Monitor Log Analytics Azure Key Vault or similar enterprise cloud tools.
• Experience with Databricks PySpark Spark SQL or enterprise data engineering.
• Experience with PDF extraction OCR document processing vector search embeddings or Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions.
• Experience designing implementing or supporting enterprise chatbots or generative AI solutions.
• Experience working across multiple business divisions or stakeholder groups.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
