Job Summary
Position Overview
The Internal Auditor performs assigned audits in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Nevada Gaming Control Board Minimum Internal Control Standards audits Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 audits Information Technology audits Anti-Money Laundering audits operational reviews and procedures initiated at managements request.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations including gaming control board requirements
- Identify compliance violations and ensure prompt and appropriate reporting
- Partner with departments to resolve issues strengthen controls and implement best practices
- Present audit results to management and follow up on remediation efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation of audit workpapers findings and resolutions
- Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets
- Support development and enhancement of policies procedures and control frameworks
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree required (preferred in Accounting Finance Audit or Information Technology).
- Experience: Prior experience in compliance information technology or an analytical role is preferred.
- Core Skills: Must have good written and verbal communication skills analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Technical Proficiency: Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook).
- Additional Qualifications: Certifications professional achievements and general knowledge of artificial intelligence are helpful but not required.
- Independence Disclosure: Any conflicts of independence related to areas subject to audit or review must be disclosed before assuming the role.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- Licensing Requirement: Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board is required and must be completed before entering the position.
