Job Summary
Industrial Electrician
As an Industrial Electrician you will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting repairing and modifying electrical devices and systems associated with feeder / branch circuits and over-current protection.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies processes and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment such as motors switches timers transformers power rectifiers and photoelectric sensors
- Operates equipment and tools to complete work such as cutting threading bending conduit removing and replacing conduit fittings and junction boxes
- Installs and connects distribution and utilization equipment components; ensures safety codes and National Electric Codes (NEC) are met prior to installation
- Draws reads and interprets electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
- Conducts weekly / monthly calibrations as required by regulatory agencies
- Serves as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensures electrical shutdown in case of an emergency
- Operates forklift or similar machinery as needed
- Maintains an understanding of and adherence to related State and Federal rules for waste management
- Utilizes the appropriately required personal protective equipment (PPE) as this position works around hazardous materials
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
