Electrician (1st Shift)

Responsibilities:

Lay out install and repair all types of electrical equipment such as high tension switchboards and automatic controls.

Perform all types of plant wiring including the maintenance of signal telephone or loudspeaker systems.

Install and repair relay and ordinary lighting circuit jobs push buttons controls switches cord sets etc.

Must have knowledge of motors and industrial electronics.

Able to trouble shoot all electrically controlled equipment.

Recommend and order spare parts and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical School Graduate

State apprentice program completed.

Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience working as an Electrician (preferably in the Industrial environment)

Verifiable formal training in Electrical Theory and Safety

Knowledge of PLC Programming Troubleshooting and Repair

Understanding of industrial motor control AC/DC invertor drives holding circuits and overload protection

Capable of troubleshooting repairing installing and wiring of basic electrical components such as relays starters motors drives and switches

Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics

Experience using common electrical tools such as Multi-Meters Strippers/Crimpers EMT Benders and Threaders

Must be able to mechanically disassemble and assemble basic machine components with common hand tools

Must be safety conscious organized neat and able to work independently and as a team member

Preferred: Knowledge of Rockwell Automation SLC500

Preferred: Certificate of competition of an apprenticeship program

Preferred: E-2 License

• High school or High school equivalency

• Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
