What You Will Do:

• Ability to work Part-time 16 hours a week on a schedule that meets program/project & management needs

• Develop and maintain EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) remote sensing systems.

• Responsible for supporting the full product development lifecycle.

• Develop new functionality and optimize current imaging capabilities.

• Drive project direction and completion within budget and on schedule.

• Develop algorithms in MATLAB or ENVI/IDL.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

• 2 years of Image science or related work experience

• Experience with Department of Defense (DoW) Electro-Optical (EO) sensors.

• Experience with a prototyping language (e.g. MATLAB ENVI/IDL (Interactive Data Language) etc.).

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after day 1.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in Image Science Systems Engineering Optical Engineering Physics Electrical Engineering or a related major.

• Experience with image processing chains.

• Experience with geo-accuracy.

• Experience with Earth remote sensing from satellite or airborne platforms.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
