Job Summary
Qualifications:
Designated Subject Credential in Transportation or Building and Construction.
Knowledge Abilities and Skills:
- Extreme knowledge of HVAC systems including residential and commercial heating ventilation air conditioning refrigeration electrical systems diagnostics and safety practices.
- Requires excellent computer skills the ability to work independently critical thinking and strong communication skills.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience related to HVAC and/or within the subject area being taught is preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Review and evaluate HVAC program curriculum to ensure compliance with professional standards and state-mandated guidelines.
- Provide data-driven interventions and outreach to meet the changing needs of the HVAC industry.
- Analyze course-level outcomes and surveys to determine and address student needs.
- Provide academic support and advising to students.
- Participate in course design development and revision in partnership with program administrators.
- Create lectures demonstrations videos and hands-on instructional activities.
- Develop strategies to improve student retention based on persistence and progression data.
- Support accreditation and advisory processes as needed.
