QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree and/or three years human resource/payroll experience or related business experience is strongly preferred.
Professional demeanor approachability and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Familiarity with payroll recruitment onboarding benefits administration and HR compliance.
Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency working with payroll/HRIS systems Microsoft Office 365 benefits web portals and related web-based systems.
Excellent communications skills include the ability to read and write.
Comfortable with ambiguity when problem solving.
Valid NY State drivers license required for travel between work sites with use of company car as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position contributes to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional timely and accurate manner.
Follow all Company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook Safety requirements and any local regulations.
EQUIPMENT MACHINES AND SOFTWARE USED
Ability to operate a telephone cell phone photocopier calculator and computer to send/receive email messages post information to a database or spreadsheet and perform basic word processing and/or data entry.
Computer Software including online automated payroll HRIS systems and Microsoft Outlook365 Suite.
You must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes gloves and safety glasses when in the covered production areas and performing certain duties.
MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures performing accounting work using a computer terminal and/or extensive reading.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit for extended periods of time stand walk talk hear use hands to finger grasp handle or feel and perform repetitive motions of hands and/or wrists.
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects.
Travel is required on an as needed basis to travel local and/or to other company site locations or as needed for other company business.
The ability to drive a company vehicle between the Syracuse Rochester and Buffalo facilities as necessary.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
Work involves minimal exposure to unusual elements such as temperature changes outdoor exposure to weather conditions fumes odors gases mists and/or smoke oils and/or lubricating fluids. (SDS sheets on file and available for review).
COMPENSATION
The salary range is governmental minimum non-exempt wage level up to $25.00/hour plus discretionary incentive.
