Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to join our team. As the Hardware Engineering Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the design development and production of our hardware products. This is a remote position so the ideal candidate will be self-motivated organized and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of hardware engineers in the design development and production of innovative energy products

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet technical requirements and adhere to project timelines

- Develop and maintain product development processes and procedures to ensure high-quality and efficient production

- Manage project budgets and timelines ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to drive innovation and improve product offerings

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and mentorship to team members

- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials

- Oversee testing and quality control processes to ensure products meet safety and regulatory standards

- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production and reduce costs

- Monitor and track project progress providing regular updates to senior management

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership role

- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion

- Experience with product development processes including design prototyping testing and production

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools

- Knowledge of energy systems and renewable energy technologies is a plus

- Ability to work independently and remotely while also collaborating effectively with a team

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges

- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related meetings and events
