OGT is seeking a talented and detail-oriented GUI Developer willing to learn Delphi / Object Pascal and develop front-end user experiences on our high-fidelity desktop simulation this role you will be responsible for transforming complex chemical process data thermodynamic calculation engines and scientific workflows into sleek highly intuitive and responsive graphical user interfaces (GUIs). You will bridge the gap between heavy mathematical backend execution and an exceptional user experience ensuring our clients can seamlessly model chart and visualize intensive engineering data.

Core Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Development: Design develop and maintain high-performance pixel-perfect desktop graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for OGTs software suite using Delphi and Object Pascal.
  • Component Engineering: Build customize and optimize visual layout components data entry forms interactive process flow diagrams (PFDs) and real-time scientific data plotting tools.
  • Third-Party Integration: Implement and maximize premium third-party VCL UI packages (such as DevExpress or TMS Software) to deliver a modern enterprise-grade software look and feel.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our core backend technical development team and chemical engineering experts to map underlying simulation engine outputs into clear graphical representations.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize desktop application responsiveness ensuring efficient memory management thread handling and hardware acceleration across high-density data dashboards.
  • Code Quality & Maintenance: Refactor legacy code structures where necessary to support modular UI scaling write clean documentation and eliminate memory leaks.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or an Associates degree plus equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience: 3 years of professional software engineering development programming or UI design experience.

  • Delphi Expertise is not required. If you have exposure or hands-on development experience with Delphi it is a strong plus. But more importantly we need a strong willingness to learn and master Delphi and Object Pascal and to develop a strong command of the Visual Component Library (VCL) framework.

  • UI Component Experience: Direct hands-on experience utilizing and configuring complex third-party grid charting and layout suites (e.g. DevExpress VCL TMS Component Pack).

  • Architecture & Memory: Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles (e.g. Pascal C Java or C#) custom component design object lifecycles and native memory management.

  • Data Visualization: Proven track record of building data-dense software interfaces including interactive charts graphs or schematics that handle real-time or calculation-heavy data streams.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • Delphi and Object Pascal experience is a strong plus; along with a strong command of the Visual Component Library (VCL) framework.

  • Experience with FireMonkey (FMX) for cross-platform desktop compilation is a bonus.

  • Background or familiarity working with scientific industrial automation CAD/CAE or engineering simulation software is a plus.

  • Experience interfacing desktop front-ends with relational databases or data extraction pipelines (Excel/COM integration) is also a bonus.
